Frederick Cumberpatch
Private 388788 Labour Corps
Frederick Cumberpatch was born in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England on 14 April 1892. He was the youngest son of William Cumberpatch and his wife Elizabeth nee Perkins. Frederick was a shoe maker fitter when he enlisted in the army for World War 1. He became Private 20777 in the Middlesex Regiment and later became Private 388788 in the Labour Corps. He was entitled to the British War and Victory Medals.
Frederick married Hettie Redley at Northampton in 1924. Together they had:
- Denis Frederick Cumberpatch born 5 May 1928 Northampton and died October 1996 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.
- Keith Redley Cumberpatch born 1931 Northampton and died 6 January 2013 in Northampton.
Frederick died in Northampton in 1976. His wife Hettie Cumberpatch died 3 May 1953 in Northampton.
