Joseph Comberbach
Joseph Comberbach was born in 1884 in St John’s, Blackburn, Lancashire, England. He was the son of Edward Comberbach and Harriet nee Austin.
He was a cotton reacher in 1901 and became a Tramway Motor Man Driver for the Corporation by 1911. He married Mary Gabbott in 1909.
During World War 1 he served as Gunner 17352 in the Royal Garrison Artillery attached to the Royal Army Medical Corps.
He was amongst the first to land in France on 17th August 1914.
He survived the war and he and his wife had two children:
- John Comberbach born 1910
- Stella Comberbach born 1918
Joseph Comberbach died in 1943 in Blackburn.
